The Detroit Pistons and the Charlotte Hornets duke it out at the Spectrum Center on Wednesday night.

The Detroit Pistons have been in poor form as they’ve lost seven of their last nine games overall and they will be hoping to arrest a three-game skid after getting stopped by the Lakers in a 124-117 loss on Sunday. Bojan Bogdanovic led the team with 38 points on 12 of 22 shooting, Jaden Ivey added 16 points while Saddiq Bey chipped in with 14 points off the bench. As a team, the Pistons shot 46 percent from the field and 17 of 45 from the 3-point line as they exploded for 41 points in the third quarter to overcome an early 14-point deficit, only to allow the Lakers to pour in 33 points in the fourth quarter to slip away in the end.

Meanwhile, the Charlotte Hornets have been in a major slump as they’ve lost six of their last seven games and they will be hoping to snap a five-game slide after getting routed by the 76ers in a 131-113 road loss on Sunday. Terry Rozier and Kelly Oubre Jr. led the team with 29 points each while Jalen McDaniels chipped in with 15 points but no other player finished in double figures in scoring. As a team, the Hornets shot just 40 percent from the field and 11 of 30 from the 3-point line, but they were even worse on the defensive end as they allowed 41 points in the second quarter and another 70 points in the second half.
