It has been a long time coming for Detroit Lions fans but, on Sunday, the team clinched its first NFC North Division title in 30 years with a 30-24 victory over the Vikings in Minnesota. Rookie running back sensation Jahmyr Gibbs ran for two scores, fellow RB David Montgomery ran for another, and star WR Amon-Ra St. Brown had 106 yards receiving and a touchdown in the historic victory. Quarterback Jared Goff had a strong day as well with 257 yards passing without an interception. The Lions' defense did its part as well with four interceptions in the game including a game-clinching pick at their five-yard line by Ifeatu Melifonwu with 49 seconds left.

The Lions have not been eliminated from e arning the #1 seed in the NFC so they certainly have something to play for over the season's final two weeks.
