Detroit at Wright State – 1/6/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Detroit Titans will travel to Fairborn and face the Wright State Raiders in Horizon League play from the Nutter Center on ESPN2. Wright State leads the all-time series 37-28 after winning six of the last seven meetings.

Detroit Mercy fell to 6-9 after losing to Milwaukee at home. The Titans and the Panthers went to the brink, before the visitors would sneak away with the 84-81 win. Detroit scores 74.7 points per game, while allowing 76.4 ppg, and shooting 42.4% from the floor.

Three of Detroit’s last four losses have been by three points or less, and they’ll remain a threat to win games in Horizon League play. Fifth-year guard Antoine Davis is still bringing the pain for the Titans, and he’s set to go down as one of the highest scorers in college basketball history. Davis went for a season-high 36 points in the loss to Charlotte, and he scored 31 points against Milwaukee. Davis is one of the country’s leading scorers at 24.6 ppg. Alabama State transfer Gerald Liddell has been a problem on the glass, and he’s among the nation’s leaders with 12.8 rpg, while scoring 16.8 ppg.
