DePaul Blue Demons (9-19) vs. Marquette Golden Eagles (22-6)

The college basketball betting action goes on Saturday, February 25, with the DePaul Blue Demons facing off against the Marquette Golden Eagles in the Big East Conference showdown at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  

The Blue Demons meet the Golden Eagles for the second time this season, and Marquette opens as a heavy 16-point home fave. Back in January, the Golden Eagles routed the Blue Demons 89-69 as 9.5-point road favorites with a total of 155.5 points.  

The DePaul Blue Demons (9-19; 10-16-2 ATS; 3-14 conf.) are riding a nine-game losing streak following Wednesday’s 59-58 home defeat to Butler. They blew a 12-point second-half lead, finishing with a 38.6 field goal percentage (9-for-27 from deep) and a 14/11 assist-to-turnover ratio. 

Senior guard Umoja Gibson dropped 25 points on Butler and was a lone Blue Demon with points in double figures. Gibson is averaging 16.5 points and 4.6 assists on the season, while senior forward Javan Johnson is tallying 14.5 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. 

DePaul is tenth in the Big East Conference, a game and a half above Georgetown and two and a half games behind Butler. The Blue Demons score 69.5 points per game in the conference play (7th in the Big East) on 42.0% shooting from the field (10th) while allowing 77.6 points in return (9th) on 45.4% shooting from the field (8th). They are No. 172 in the NCAA NET Rankings and No. 151 in the KenPom rankings.
