Denver Nuggets (52-27) vs. Phoenix Suns (44-35)
The 2022-23 NBA season goes on Thursday, April 6, with the Denver Nuggets taking on the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference showdown at Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona, and the tip-off is set for 10:00 PM ET.
Denver has won two of its previous three encounters with Phoenix in 2022-23, but the Suns outlasted the Nuggets 100-93 just five days ago. The Suns have a clean bill of health, while the Nuggets might miss Jamal Murray this Thursday.
The Denver Nuggets (52-27; 42-36-1 ATS) are coming off Tuesday’s 124-103 defeat at the lowly Houston Rockets. It was their third loss in four games, and Jamal Murray played just nine minutes before exiting due to a thumb injury. The Nuggets were outscored 38-18 in the fourth quarter. They committed a thumping 20 turnovers and allowed 20 offensive rebounds which is a recipe for a disaster.
“If that’s how we’re going to play, we’ll be out in the first round,” Denver coach Michael Malone said after the game. “When we don’t do our jobs, there’s accountability. And I speak the truth. I just called our team, ‘soft,’ and I dared someone to challenge me. No one did, because we as a group were soft toni ght. I’m not saying we are soft, but tonight, we were.”

Michael Porter Jr. led the way for the Nuggets last Tuesday, finishing with 23 points and seven rebounds. Nikola Jokic had 14 points, ten rebounds, four assists, and three blocks, but he also turned the ball over eight times. Now, with three games remaining in the regular season, the Nuggets are topping the West two games above the No. 2 Memphis Grizzlies.
