The 2022-23 NBA season continues with a nine-game Friday slate including the Western Conference showdown between the Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Clippers at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.
Denver meets LA for the third time this season, and the Nuggets shoot for their fifth straight victory over the Clippers. The visitors might miss Jamal Murray (ankle). On the other side, the Clippers are without Luke Kennard (calf), while Paul George (hamstring) is questionable to play.
The Denver Nuggets (28-13; 21-19-1 ATS) are riding a four-game winning streak that started with a 122-91 dismantling of the LA Clippers on January 5. After a couple of comfortable victories against the Cleveland Cavaliers 121-108 and Los Angeles Lakers 122-109, the Nuggets wrapped up their four-game homestand with a 126-97 thrashing of the injury-depleted Phoenix Suns this past Wednesday.
Denver shot 56.5% from the field (15-for-34 from deep) against the Suns. The Nuggets also posted an excellent 30/11 assist-to-turnover ratio while forcing Phoenix into 20 turnovers. Nikola Jokic led the way with 21 points, 18 rebounds, and nine assists, Jamal Murray had 16 points and six dishes, while Bones Hyland notched 21 points (5-for-7 from deep) off the bench. Murray suffered an ankle injury but was able to finish the game.

The Nuggets have won 14 of their last 17 games overall and are tied with the Memphis Grizzlies for the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. Denver boasts the highest offensive rating in the NBA, tallying 118.1 points per 100 possessions. The Nuggets also pace the league in 3-point percentage (40.0%) and assists per 100 possessions (29.0).
