Denver Nuggets (10-5) vs. Houston Rockets (7-6)

After a day off on Thanksgiving, the NBA betting action is back Friday, November 24, 2023, with ten In-Season Tournament games around the league. We are taking a closer look at the Western Conference showdown from Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, to get you the best Nuggets vs. Rockets pick.

Denver and Houston continue their three-game regular-season series. The Rockets edged the Nuggets 107-104 as 4.5-point home dogs on November 12. Houston is a 3-point home underdog this time around, and the total is listed at 216.5 points.

The Denver Nuggets (10-5; 5-10 ATS) have dropped three of their previous four contests and will try to finish a five-game road trip on a high note. Last Wednesday, they suffered a 124-119 defeat at the Orlando Magic, playing as 3.5-point favorites.

Denver surrendered a staggering 42 fourth-quarter points at Amway Center in Orlando. The Nuggets blew a nine-point lead in what was a tight battle for all 48 minutes, as neither side had a double-digit lead. Nikola Jokic led the way for Denver with a triple-double of 30 points, 13 rebounds, and 12 assists, while Michael Porter Jr. had 25 points on 9-for-16 shooting from the field.

“They’re a good team,” Denver coach Michael Malone said. &# x201C;They’ve won five in a row, they’re 10-5, they’ve got the No. 1 defense (in opponents' points per 100 possessions). Their bench scored 58 points tonight. But that’s a game we should have won. We did not make enough plays down the stretch on either end. You can’t allow a good team to score 42 points when the game is hanging in the balance.”

The Nuggets are missing Jamal Murray due to a hamstring injury which is a huge blow for the reigning NBA champions. Murray will sit out his ninth straight game Friday, and the Nuggets will continue to lean heavily on Jokic, who’s averaged 27.6 points, 13.5 rebounds, and 9.9 assists through his last eight outings.
