The Denver Nuggets (24-11; 16-18-1 ATS) put an end to their six-game winning streak last Friday. They suffered a heavy 119-93 home defeat to the red-hot Oklahoma City Thunder. The Nuggets struggled to defend all night while making just 42.4% of their field goals (10-for-37 from deep).

Denver returned to winning ways last Monday. The Nuggets cruised past the lowly Charlotte Hornets 111-93, covering a huge 17.5-point spread on the home court. Denver shot 49.4% from the field (15-for-38 from deep), and Jamal Murray led the charge with 25 points and seven assists in 27 minutes on the floor.

“Guys were locked in, and defense was leading to offense,” Nuggets coach Michael Malone said. “We took care of it in the second half, and that’s Denver Nuggets basketball.”

The Nuggets are third in the Western Conference, half a game behind the Thunder and 1.5 games behind the Minnesota Timberwolves. Denver is eighth in the NBA in both adjusted offensive efficiency (118.3 points per 100 possessions) and adjusted defensive efficiency (112.8).
