The Denver Nuggets recovered from their slow start and are rolling along as they come into Boston on Friday night. The Nuggets have won three-straight on their current road trip and four games in a row overall. On Wednesday night, the Nuggets downed Indiana on the road, 122-119. After jumping out to an eight-point lead after the first quarter, the Nuggets were outscored by 18 in the 2nd quarter as two-time MVP Nikola Jokic spent a majority of his time on the bench in foul trouble. Trailing by six points entering the fourth quarter, Jokic took over and helped carry the Nuggets to their fourth-straight win. Jokic finished the game with 24 points in just 21 minutes of work. For the game, Denver shot 43% from 3pt range to pull off the come-from-behind win.

“We did enough on defense,” guard Jamal Murray said after scoring 18 points and playing a key role in the comeback. “I think they got a lot of fast -break points in the first half. We limited that in the second half and just contested every shot and we were able to get going on offense, too.”

The Nuggets continue to climb the scoring ranks this season, now up to 7th in the NBA in points per game. The team is first in 3pt FG% and first in FG% overall. Despite the presence of Jokic, Denver is just 18th in rebounding and is struggling on the defensive end. The Nuggets are 27th in field goal percentage against and 17th in defensive scoring. The Nuggets improvement in recent weeks can likely be linked to the continued improvement of both Michael Porter Jr. and Jamal Murray, both coming back this season from major injuries.

Key Injuries: PG Ish Smith (calf) is listed as out.
