Denver Broncos vs. Jacksonville Jaguars Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 10-30-2022

Well, the Denver Broncos have struggled mightily in the Russell Wilson era, but maybe they'll have more luck overseas. On Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. ET, the Broncos take on the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium in London. The Broncos are 2-5 while the Jags are also 2-5. The Broncos have won 3 of the last 4 games including a 23-13 win last season as a 6 point favorite. Jacksonville is a 2 point favorite.

It has just been a disappointing year thus far for the Broncos. The Russell Wilson trade has not paid dividends as Wilson has been very average at best, some would argue below average. His replacement in Seattle, Geno Smith, is having a better year. Wilson missed last week's game with a hamstring injury, but it was the same result as the Broncos lost 16-9. The offense has been anemic no matter who is under center as the Broncos have the worst offense in football, averaging just 14.3 points per game. Against the Jets, it was a whole lot more awful as Brett Rypien filled in and didn't do much.

Rypien was just 24 for 46 for 225 yards and 0 touchdowns with 1 interception. Jerry Jeudy led the Broncos with 7 catches for 96 yards while Greg Dulcich caught 6 balls for 51 yards. Melvin Gordon did a whole lot of nothing with just 33 yards rushing. The Broncos have been particularly terrible in the red zone. The only bright spot for Denver has been its defense. They are third in points allowed, giving up just 16.4 per game. They are second in total yards allowed, 2nd in pass defense, and 15th against the run. Wilson is probable and expected to start on Sunday.
