The Denver Broncos (6-5, 4-6-1 ATS, 5-6 O/U) battle the Houston Texans (6-5, 5-6 ATS, 4-7 O/U) in an AFC showdown on Sunday afternoon. The Broncos posted a home win against the Browns last week. The Texans were dealt a home loss by the Jaguars in their previous bout. The Broncos issued a 16-9 home win against the Texans last season.

The Denver Broncos are one of the hottest squads in the NFL. Denver has won five consecutive games propelled by magnificent defense. They have taken down difficult opponents, beating the Packers, Chiefs, Bills, and most recently were a one-point favorite in a dominating 29-12 home win against the Browns last week. Things were bleak early in the year, but the squad is now just out of a wildcard spot. The Broncos have covered in four of their last five decisions.
Russell Wilson didn’t post big numbers last week, recording just 134 passing yards and 34 rushing yards. The 34-year-old QB has only reached 200 passing yards in one of his last five games and has recorded 2199 passing yards accompanied by a 20:4 TD to INT ratio on the season. Wilson has added 266 rushing yards.
The Denver offense prefers to run. Javonte Williams has reached 80 rushing yards just twice thi s season and leads the squad with 538 rushing yards on an average of only 3.8 yards per rush while backup RB Jaleel McLaughlin has 281 yards. Courtland Sutton has brought in at least 50 receiving yards on six occasions this season. The 28-year-old has registered 560 receiving yards on the year. The Denver offense won’t dazzle but has been scoring enough to win games, netting at least 24 points in three of their last four clashes.

The Broncos defense has been spectacular in the winning streak, allowing 20 or fewer points in four of their last five bouts. The only game the group allowed over 20 points in that span was on the road against the Bills. They kept the Browns to only 269 total yards last week. The pass defense is ranked 23rd while the rush defense is 32nd.
Denver is scoring an average of 22.4 points on the year, marking them 15th. They are conceding an average of 25.5 points, placing them 29th.
