The Denver Broncos will play the Seattle Seahawks in Week 1 of the NFL regular season at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington on Monday Night Football.
The Denver Broncos were 2-1 during this preseason after defeating Minnesota and Dallas and losing to Buffalo. Russell Wilson will be starting at quarterback for Denver and he will make his return to Seattle, where he played for years. Javonte Williams will be the lead back for Denver, with Melvin Gordon III also getting carries. Courtland Sutton is listed as the top receiver, with Jerry Jeudy also starting. The Denver defense was solid last season and should be about the same in 2022.
The Seattle Seahawks were 0-3 in the preseason, losing to Dallas, Chicago, and Pittsburgh. Geno Smith is the starting quarterback for the Seahawks, but he hasn’t started the regular season as a starting QB since 2014. Rashaad Penny is the lead back for Seattle after having a solid season in 2021. Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf will be the top two receivers for Geno Smith to start the season. The Seattle defense is most likely going to struggled this season as their offense will not be able to stay on the field. This is looking like it will be a rebuilding season for the Seahawks.
