Davidson at VCU – 1/7/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Davidson Wildcats and VCU Rams face off on Saturday in a college basketball showdown at the Siegel Center. The visiting team won the two games between the two teams. This is a key game for both of these teams. 

Davidson comes into this game with a 9-6 record and they have gone 7-7 against the spread. On Wednesday against Loyola Chicago, the offense scored 80 points, and they were able to secure the 23 point victory. Sam Mennenga scored 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Davidson is averaging 72.1 points while their defense is giving up 68.9 points per game. Foster Loyer is having a strong season averaging 17.3 points while shooting 37.7 percent from the field and 35.9 percent from behind the three point line. 

On the other side of this matchup is VCU who sits with a 10-5 record and they have gone 3-10-2 against the spread. In the last game against Duquesne, the defense gave up 79 points and they lost by nine points. They scored 48 points in the second half, but it wasn’t enough. VCU is averaging 69.5 points while their defense is giving up 64.5 points per game. Adrian Baldwin Jr is averaging 12.5 points while shooting 41.7 percent from the field and 48.6 percent from behind the three point line.
