Davidson at Purdue – 12/17/22 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Davidson Wildcats and Purdue Boilermakers face off on Saturday in a college basketball showdown at the Grainbridge Fieldhouse. When these two teams faced off in 2018 it was Purdue that secured the 79-59 victory. 

Davidson comes into this game with a 7-3 record overall and they have gone 4-5 against the spread. In the last game against Western Carolina, Davidson were able to secure the 72-64 victory. Desmond Watson was the top player for Davidson putting up 17 points. Davidson is averaging 75.9 points while their defense is giving up 72.3 points per game. Foster Loyer is averaging 19.5 points while shooting 40.1 percent from the field and 41.3 percent from behind the three point line. 

On the other side of this matchup is Purdue who sits with a 10-0 record and they have gone 4-5-1 against the spread. In the last game against Nebraska, they were really tested but they ended up winning 65-62. Two games ago against Hofstra they were able to secure the 85-66 victory. Purdue is averaging 77.9 points while their defense is giving up 62.4 points per game. Center Zach Edey has been the top player for Purdue averaging 22 points while shooting 61.3 percent from the field. Fletcher Loyer has been the top player for Purdue averaging 13.1 points while shooting 39.6 percent from the field. In this game Edey should be a mismatch and they need him to be good here.
