Dark Horse Picks to Win the 2022 Hero World Challenge on FanDuel Sportsbook

The PGA Tour heads to the Bahamas for the 2022 Hero World Challenge. Just 19 golfers participate following the withdrawal of Tiger Woods. The Hero World Challenge tournament benefits Tiger Woods' charity, TGR Foundation.

Jon Rahm, Scottie Scheffler, To ny Finau, Justin Thomas, Xander Schauffele and Matt Fitzpatrick head the field as favorites to win.

The ultra-exclusive Albany Resort and championship course designed by Ernie Els in 2010 is a par 72 and plays to 7,414 yards with small bermuda greens. Albany combines the best of links and desert features with low fairways set between windswept dunes and sandy waste areas. Five par 5's make for low scores and players strong around the green and putting will have more success this week.

But beyond the top favorites, there are some big time golfers ready to fire as capable dark horses wit h ten other golfers odds ranging from +1400 to +2000.

Recently he rediscovered his best with a win in South Africa followed by fifth place in Dubai showing an improved long game to go with his solid iron play.

2. Cameron Young (+1800)

With a more straight-forward layout and plenty of scoring opportunities on a course where hitting driver upon driver is encouraged, PGA Rookie of the Year Cameron Young should go well in his debut at the event. Young ranks top-6 in this field over his last 36 rounds in Strokes Gained: Around the Green, Ball Striking, Off-the-Tee and Tee-to-Green.

3. Max Homa (+2000)

Max Homa made his President's Cup debut after two more wins in 2022 including in September Fortnight event to earn his first Hero World Challenge invitation. Homa ranks No. 2 in this field over his last 36 rounds in Strokes Gained: Around the Green and Short Game, and No. 8 in Putting.
