The Dallas Stars face the Tampa Bay Lightning in a matchup between two of the best teams in the NHL. The Stars have a 9-5-1 record and are in second place in the Central Division. The Lightning have an 8-6-1 record which is third-best in the Atlantic Division. Both teams are looking to improve in their divisions as the season is in full swing and the upcoming game should be a great one as a result.

The Stars are having a great season with their offense stepping up and scoring 3.73 goals per game including nine goals in the last two games. Jason Robertson, Joe Pavelski, and Roope Hintz have scored 24 goals and 33 assists to lead the top two lines but the entire offense has looked great. Jamie Benn, Mason Marchment, and Tyler Seguin have combined for 13 goals and 20 assists while Miro Heiskanen and Esa Lindell have added four goals and 13 assists from the point to put the offense over the top.

The offense has been dominant but the defense has also stepped up, allowing only 2.53 goals per game. Heiskanen and Lindell have combined for 2.2 defensive point shares and 36 blocked shots but the entire unit has looked great with Colin Miller and Jani Hakanpaa combining for 1.9 defensive point shares and 38 blocked shots to give the Stars two great defensive pairings.
