Dallas Stars vs. Ottawa Senators Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 10-24-2022

The Dallas Stars face the Ottawa Senators with both teams off to strong starts to the season. The Stars have a 4-0-1 record and are in first place in the Central Division. The Senators meanwhile started the season 0-2 but have won their last three games and are right in the middle of a competitive Atlantic Division. Both teams are looking to build off their strong starts to the season and the upcoming game should be a great one as a result.

The Stars are off to a great start to the season with their offense stepping up and scoring 3.80 goals per game. Joe Pavelski, Roope Hintz, and Jason Robertson have combined for eight goals and 13 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has stepped up as well. Mason Marchment, Tyler Seguin, and Jamie Benn have combined for five goals and eight assists while defensemen Miro Heiskanen and Nils Lundkvist have added two goals and four assists from the point to help open up the offense.

The offense has looked great but the defense looks like one of the best in the NHL, allowing only 1.60 goals per game. Miro Heiskanen and Colin Miller have combined for 1.3 defensive point shares and nine blocked shots to lead the top pairing but the entire defense has looked great with Esa Lindell, Nils Lundkvist, and the rest of the unit creating turnovers in all three zone and limiting shots on th e net. Furthermore, goaltender Jake Oettinger has been great in the net with a .959 save percentage and a 1.25 goals-against average on 121 shots.
