Dallas Stars (26-12-7) vs. Los Angeles Kings (25-15-6)

The 2022-23 NHL betting action goes on with a huge 13-game Thursday card, bringing plenty of interesting markets to choose from, so we are breaking down the Western Conference showdown between the Dallas Stars and Los Angeles Kings.

The Stars head to Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles as slight underdogs, and the puck drop is set for 10:30 PM ET. These two foes will wrap up their three-game regular-season series after splitting their previous two encounters. The Stars beat the Kings 5-2 as -140 home favorites on the first day of November, while LA responded with a 3-2 victory as a +105 home dog on January 3.

Wednesday’s games have been excluded from the analysis, and the Dallas Stars visited the San Jose Sharks, searching for their second straight victory. Last Monday, the Stars blanked the Vegas Golden Knights 4-0 to snap their two-game skid.

Dallas outshot Vegas 36-27 in a dominant performance. Four players found the back of the net including Jamie Benn, who increased his season tally to 38 points (16 goals and 22 assists. Benn has been quiet so far this month, tallying two goals and an assist in seven appearances.

Jake Oettinger patrolled the crease last Monday and notched his third shutout of the season. The 24-year-old netminder is having a wonderful campaign and boasts a 20-6-4 record with a 2.21 GAA and .926 save percentage.

Oettinger was projected to get the starting call Wednesday against San Jose, so Scott Wedgewood might get the nod Thursday in LA. Wedgewood is 6-6-3 with a 3.19 GAA and .905 save percentage this season. The Stars rank second in the NHL in goals against (2.60 per game) and seventh in goals for (3.44).
