Having ended a four-game triumph run with a defeat in L.A. yesterday, the Dallas Stars (1st in Central Division) will try to split their current back-to-back set while visiting the Anaheim Ducks (8th in Pacific), who have dropped five of their last six decisions.

A four-game winning streak ended for the Dallas Stars (23-10-6), who started their current back-to-back stretch with a 3-2 defeat at the hands of the Los Angeles Kings at Crypto.com Arena last night. Miro Heiskanen (6 goals, 30 points this year) and Jason Robertson (26 goals, 55 points) tallied for the Stars, who tied the game twice in the second period before the hosts buried the winner during power play midway through the final third. Roope Hintz (19 goals, 44 points) assisted on both strikes for Dallas, which has dropped just four of its past 13 decisions (9-3-1).

Goalie Jake Oettinger turned aside 32 shots yesterday and has now posted a 17-6-3 total for the ongoing campaign with a 2.39 GAA and a .920 save percentage. Scott Wedgewood (6-4-3 on the season with a 3.03 GAA and a .910 save percentage), though, is expected to patrol Dallas’ crease tonight, having won his only previous start against the Anaheim Ducks, allowing five snipes on 37 shots (.865 save percentage). The Stars, meanwhile, are 4th in most goals scored per game this year (3.56), 7th in least goals conceded on average (2.69), 3rd best in power play (28.1%) and 4th in penalty kill (83.3%).
