A pair of Southwest Division rivals take the floor in search of a divisional triumph down in the Big Easy. The Dallas Mavericks are on the road as they make the trip to face the New Orleans Pelicans Tuesday night. Dallas comes in off an easy 137-96 demolition of Memphis at home in their previous contest Saturday night. New Orleans went to the wire but ended up falling 122-121 in overtime to the Jazz at home Sunday night in their most recent game. In the all-time regular season series between the teams, the Mavericks own a 50-24 advantage and took three of the four meetings a season ago. That included a 125-118 road triumph in the most recent matchup on February 17, 2022.

Dallas bounced back from a meltdown in a two-point loss to Phoenix by hammering a Memphis team playing the second game of a back-to-back Saturday night. Dallas shot an even 50% from the field, including 17 of 39 from three-point range, hit 30 of 36 free throw attempts and dominated the glass by a 52-29 margin. Luka Doncic paced the Mavericks with 32 points, seven rebounds and 10 assists as one of four players in double figures.

This season, the Mavericks are tied for 6th in the league in scoring offense as they put up an average of 121 points per game. Dallas is 15th in the league in rebounding as they collect 46 boards a night while they are 26th in assists by dishing out 20 dimes per contest. The Mavericks are 2nd in the league in scoring defense as they are giving up an average of 101.5 points a game. Luka Doncic leads the team with 33.5 points, eight rebounds and eight assists per game on the season. Tim Hardaway Jr. (12.5 points), Spencer Dinwiddie (15 points, 2.5 assists) and Christian Wood (25 points, 10 rebounds, 2.5 assists) each are averaging in double figures.
