Dallas will try to extend its six-game winning streak when it travels to Houston on Monday night. The Mavericks picked up a 129-114 win against the Rockets last Thursday and a 112-106 win against Houston two days before Christmas. Houston has lost eight of its last nine games, falling to the Knicks in a 20-point setback on Saturday.

Dallas has finally started to get on the right track after sitting below the .500 mark on Dec. 19. The Mavericks have rattled off a season-high six game winning streak since that loss, including a 129-114 victory against Houston when these teams met last Thursday. They added a 126-125 win at San Antonio on Saturday, as superstar Luka Doncic poured in 51 points. He has reached the 50-point mark three times in his last five games—he poured in 60 points, grabbed 21 rebounds and dished out 10 assists in an overtime win against the Knicks last Tuesday.

Doncic became the first player in NBA history with 250 points, 50 rebounds and 50 assists in a five-game span. He torched the Rockets for 50 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds in the game on Dec. 23. Center Christian Wood scored 25 points in what was the Mavericks fifth straight win against San Antonio on Saturday. Dallas is playing without Dorian Finney-Smith (groin) and Maxi Kleber (hamstring), so Doncic is averaging nearly 40 minutes per game. The Mavericks rank No. 18 in the NBA offensively, averaging 112.6 points per contest. They are facing a Houston defense that is No. 20, allowing 115.8 points per game.
