Dallas Mavericks vs. Denver Nuggets Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 2-15-2023

Dallas Mavericks (31-28) vs. Denver Nuggets (40-18)

The NBA betting action goes on with a ten-game Wednesday card, including the Western Conference showdown from Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, where the Dallas Mavericks take on the Denver Nuggets.

Dallas looks to clinch a four-game regular-season set against Denver after winning two of its previous three encounters with the Nuggets. The Mavericks are without Maxi Kleber (hamstring) and Davis Bertans (calf), while the Nuggets miss Jamal Murray (knee).

The Dallas Mavericks (31-28; 21-35-3 ATS) have dropped two straight games in dramatic fashion. After stopping their three-game winning streak with a 133-128 overtime defeat at the Sacramento Kings, the Mavericks lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves 124-121 this past Monday.

Kyrie Irving notched 36 points on 15-for-23 shooting from the field against the T-Wolves, while Luka Doncic had 33 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists. However, they couldn’t decide who’ll take the final shot, and the Mavs narrowly failed to overcome a 26-point deficit. Dallas outscored Minnesota 39-24 in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough.

“We didn’t get a clear shot, we just passed (to) each other, but I think it was a great defense,” Doncic said. “I was trying to get him a shot, he was trying to give me a shot, At the end, nobody got a shot, but he was going off.”

The Mavs are tied with the LA Clippers for the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference. Dallas scores 116.5 points per 100 possessions (7th in the NBA) on 47.3% shooting from the field (16th) while yielding 115.8 points in return (tied-22nd) on 48.3% shooting from the field (26th).
