Dallas Mavericks at Minnesota Timberwolves – 12/19/22 NBA Picks and Prediction

The Minnesota Timberwolves play host to the Dallas Mavericks at the Target Center on Monday night.

The Dallas Mavericks have been in a rut as they’ve lost four of their last six games and they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after falling painfully short to the Cavaliers in a 100-99 overtime road loss on Saturday. Kemba Walker led the way with 32 points, five rebounds and seven assists on 12 of 25 shooting, Christian Wood added 26 points and 14 rebounds on nine of 18 shooting while Tim Hardaway Jr. chipped in with 13 points. As a team, the Mavericks shot just 40 percent from the field and 15 of 49 from the 3-point line as they took it to the Cavaliers and led by as many as 10 points in the fourth quarter, but they never put the Cavaliers away and got burned in overtime where they managed just three points in a disjointed effort.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves have been in decent form as they’ve won five of their last nine games and they will be aiming for a third straight win after blowing past the struggling Bulls in a 150-126 home win last night. Anthony Edwards led the team with 37 points, seven rebounds and 11 assists, D’Angelo Russell added 28 points with eight assists while Jaden McDaniels tallied 15 points with eight rebounds, five assists and three blocks. As a team, the Timberwolves shot a sizzling 65 percent from the field and 23 of 43 from the 3-point line as they poured in 39 points in the second quarter to take the narrow lead into halftime, before they exploded for 79 points in the second half to make it a complete blowout.
