Dallas Mavericks at Brooklyn Nets – 10/27/22 NBA Picks and Prediction

The Dallas Mavericks travel to the Barclays Center to take on the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday night.

The Dallas Mavericks have had a mixed start to the season as they’ve lost two of their first three games and they will be hoping to bounce back after falling just short to the Pelicans in a 113-111 loss on Tuesday. Luka Doncic led the team with 37 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists, Spencer Dinwiddie added 24 points with five assists while Christian Wood chipped in with 23 points on eight of 10 shooting off the bench. As a team, the Mavericks shot 50 percent from the field and 12 of 39 from the 3-point line as they got off to a sloppy start and had to claw back from an early 16-point deficit after leaking 40 points in the first quarter. However, it still wasn’t enough to get the job done as Doncic missed the game-winning shot with the clock expiring.

Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets have really struggled so far as they’ve lost three of their first four games and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after last night’s 110-99 road win at Milwaukee. Kevin Durant led the team with 33 points, Kyrie Irving added 27 points with nine rebounds while Royce O’Neale chipped in with 13 points on four of 13 shooting. As a team, the Nets shot just 39 percent from the field and seven of 27 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in control after exploding for 35 points in the second quarter to build a 12-point lead, but their defense let themselves down in the second half where they allowed 67 points. Ben Simmons had another quiet game of just four points on two of seven shooting while Joe Harris scored just three points on one of five shooting off the bench.
