The Dallas Cowboys (4-1, 4-1 ATS, 0-4 O/U) battle the Philadelphia Eagles (5-0, 3-2 ATS, 2-3 O/U)  in a divisional showdown on Sunday night. The Cowboys resumed their strong play with a road win against the Rams last week. The Eagles defeated the Cardinals in their previous action to remain undefeated. Dallas beat Philly in both meetings last season.

The Dallas Cowboys have quickly put the week one defeat behind them. They lost 19-3 to the Bucs in the season opener and have rallied with four consecutive victories propelled by stifling defense. They have won these games without the services of Dak Prescott. Dallas beat the Bengals in that span and were labeled 5.5-point dogs in a 22-10 road win against the Rams last week. The Cowboys have covered in four consecutive games.

Cooper Rush has done a great job in place of Dak Prescott who is likely out again this week due to his thumb injury. Rush only connected on 10 of 16 pass attempts against the Rams but is efficient and has yet to throw an interception. The 28-year-old has accrued 839 passing yards along with a perfect 4:0 TD to INT ratio. The Cowboys have been running frequently with Prescott out. Ezekiel Elliot recorded 78 rushing yards last week. The 27-year-old has 305 rushing yards. Tony Po llard has eclipsed 80 yards in two out of his last three games and now has 248 rushing yards.

CeeDee Lamb has a challenging matchup this week against CB Darius Slay. The 23-year-old WR continues to be targeted heavily and has collected 341 receiving yards. The Dallas offense isn’t dazzling opponents but is keeping it simple with plenty of running plays while they wait for Prescott to return.

The Cowboys' defense has been dominant in their winning streak. They have allowed 19 or fewer points in all five games and held the Rams to only 323 yards and 6 for 17 on third downs. The pass defense is especially a strength, ranking 7th while the rush defense is 19th. Keep an eye out on the status of defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence. He is questionable with a rib injury. Dallas is scoring an average of 18.6 points, landing them 25th. The defense is limiting foes to only 14.4 points, good for third in the NFL.
