Creighton will put its four-game winning streak on the line when it travels to Georgetown on Wednesday night. The Bluejays have bounced back from a 3-3 start to Big East play with four consecutive wins, beating then-No. 13 Xavier in an 84-67 final on Saturday. Georgetown has lost 11 of its last 12 games, falling to St. John’s in a 75-73 decision on Sunday.
Creighton has been a streaky team this season, opening the campaign with six straight wins before losing its next six games. The Bluejays have won seven of their last nine games since then, with the two losses coming against then-No. 4 UConn and then-No. 12 Xavier in the middle of January. They have responded with a four-game winning streak since then, beating Providence, Butler and St. John’s before getting revenge against Xavier on Saturday. Creighton was a 5.5-point favorite against the Musketeers, and it was able to cover the spread for the third straight game. The Bluejays have won their last four games by an average of 18 points, with all five starters scoring in double figures against Xavier.

Their defense came up big against the Musketeers as well, holding them below 70 points. Ryan Kalkbrenner racked up five blocks while Ryan Nembhard held Xavier’s leading scorer, Souley Boum, to a season-low two points. Creighton’s offense has been excellent this season, ranked No. 19 in effective field goal percentage (54.8) and No. 31 in turnover rate. Its offensive rebounding has been its weakness on that end of the court, but it is facing a Georgetown defense that is outside the top 250 in field goal percentage, turnover rate and rebounding. Kalkbrenner leads Creighton with 15.1 points and 6.9 rebounds per game, while Baylor Scheierman is adding 13.5 points and 8.3 rebounds.
