Creighton at Marquette – 12/16/22 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Creighton Bluejays will head to Milwaukee and meet the Marquette Golden Eagles in Big East action this Friday night from the Fiserv Forum on FS1. Marquette and Creighton faced off in every season from 1923-1988, and while the Golden Eagles hold a 56-39 series lead, Creighton has won seven of the last eight meetings.

Creighton dropped to 6-5 after a loss to Arizona State in Omaha on Monday. The Blue Jays trailed at halftime. and ultimately dropped their fifth game in a row and their second to the Grand Canyon State this season. Creighton is scoring 78.2 ppg, while shooting 51.2% from the field and 38.2% from three.

The Jays missed Ryan Kalkbrenner’s presence last weekend, as the junior center missed the BYU and Arizona State losses with covid-like symptoms. Kalbrenner leads the team in scoring (15.9), while grabbing 7.6 rpg, and his status will be worth monitoring heading into this one. Arthur Kaluma scored a season-high 27 points against the Cougars, and he’s up to 13.1 ppg and 4.8 rpg this season. SDSU transfer Baylor Scheierman leads Creighton in rebounding (9.6), while scoring 12.5 ppg.
