The Cowboys have the top-scoring defense in football, while the 49ers are tied for third. Sunday will be the first big test for both defenses, as neither team has played an opponent with a record over .500 this season. We expect at least one defense to be up to the test, but we don't know which it will be. That's why we're taking the Under and not the spread.
The 49ers have scored 30 or more points in every game this season. However, three of their four opponents are currently in the bottom 10 of scoring defense. Meanwhile, every single one of the Cowboys' opponents is in the bottom 12 of scoring defense this season.
Both of these teams have committed only one turnover through four games. The offenses don't put the defenses in bad positions, which means that any points scored in this game are going to be earned.
While both offenses have the ability to erupt, it's hard to imagine both defenses playing poorly in this game. So if the 49ers and all their weapons put up 30 points again, then they will win in a blowout.
