Cornell at Syracuse – 12/17/22 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Cornell Big Red and Syracuse Orange face off on Saturday in a college basketball showdown at the Carrier Dome. Syracuse has won the last ten games over Cornell. 

Cornell comes into this game with a 7-2 record and they have gone 5-2 against the spread. In the last game against Miami, Cornell scored 105 points, but the defense gave up 107 and that led to the defeat. Cornell is averaging 85.1 points while their defense is giving up 72.1 points per game. The offense is ranked 11th in college basketball, and they need to get the offense going here. Guard Greg Dolan has been the top player for Cornell averaging 13.9 points while shooting 57.5 percent from the field and 58.8 percent from behind the three point line. 

On the other side of this matchup is Syracuse who sits with a 7-4 record and they have gone 5-6 against the spread. In the last game against Monmouth, the offense scored 86 points, and that led to the 15 point victory. Two games ago against Georgetown, Syracuse secured the 83-64 victory. Syracuse is averaging 74.5 points while their defense is giving up 68.6 points per game. Center Jesse Edwards has been the top player for Syracuse averaging 15.3 points while shooting 65.3 percent from the field. There are three different players that are averaging at least 14.8 points per game.
