The Coppin State Eagles will head up to Jersey to take on the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in non-conference action this Friday from The RAC on the Big Ten Network.
Coppin State dropped to 5-11 after losing to Richmond on the road. The Eagles holiday stint in Virginia didn’t go well, and after suffering a 38-point loss in Fairfax to GMU, they were handed another double digit defeat from the Spiders.
Coppin State scores 75.5 points per game, while allowing 86.9 ppg, and shooting 44.8% from the floor. Sam Sessoms leads the way for Juan Dixon’s squad, and he’s been a man on a mission since coming over from Penn State. Sessions has scored 22 or more eight times this season, including a 35-point showing against in-state foe Loyola (MD), and he leads Coppin in scoring (23.4) and assists (5.8).
