The #2 Connecticut Huskies (14-0, 11-2-1 ATS, 9-5 O/U) collide with the #22 Xavier Musketeers (11-3, 7-6-1 ATS, 10-3 O/U) in a Big East showdown on Saturday afternoon. The Huskies remained perfect with a solid home win against Villanova on Wednesday. The Musketeers were able to collect a road victory against St. John’s in their previous action. Each team recorded a home win in last year’s two meetings. 

The Connecticut Huskies continue to dazzle. They remain undefeated on the season and have beaten several power conference opponents including victories against Oregon, Alabama, and Iowa State to name a few. They were marked as 12.5 point favorites in a 74-66 home win against Villanova on Wednesday to improve to 3-0 in Big East play. The Huskies have covered in one of their last three games.

Adama Sanogo has eclipsed the 20-point mark on six occasions this season. The junior forward wasn’t quite at his best on Wednesday, recording only seven points, and is averaging 17.8 PPG and 6.8 RPG on the year. Jordan Hawkins continues to deliver, sinking at least 15 points in five out of his last six games. The sophomore guard has increased his season average to 14.9 PPG on 41% shooting. Tristen Newton scored 17 points in a win against Georgetown two games ago. The senior guard is third in team scoring with 9.9 PPG. 

The Huskies are second in the country in Ken Pomeroy’s ratings and remain at #2 in the AP Top 25 as well. Uconn is 2-0 on the road including a 68-46 win against rival Butler last week. The Huskies are scoring an average of 82.9 points, good for 21st in DI. The defense is incredible, allowing an average of 59.1 points, placing them 15th in the country. They also have one of the best rebounding margins.
