The UConn Huskies and Providence Friars face off on Wednesday in a college basketball showdown at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center. This is a huge Big East team with both teams dreaming of winning the conference.
UConn comes into this game with a 14-1 record overall and they have gone 11-3-1 against the spread. UConn has had a strong start to the season, but they are coming off a loss in their last game. On the other side of this matchup is Providence who sits with a 12-3 record and they have gone 9-6 against the spread. In the last two games, the defense for Providence has been strong. In the last game the defense only gave up 59 points to DePaul. Providence is averaging 80.2 points while their defense is giving up 67.7 points per game. Forward Bryce Hopkins is averaging 15.7 points while shooting 49.1 percent from the field and 34.5 percent from behind the three point line.
