Columbus Blue Jackets (17-34-4) vs. Arizona Coyotes (19-28-8)
The 2022-23 NHL season goes on with a six-game Sunday card and brings this Interconference clash from the Mullett Arena in Glendale, Arizona when the Columbus Blue Jackets take on the Arizona Coyotes at 8:30 PM ET.
This is the second meeting between these teams. The Coyotes beat the Blue Jackets back in October, 6-3. The Coyotes were the underdogs in that game (+196) with the total set at 6.5. Arizona is the favorite in this contest (-134).
The Columbus Blue Jackets earned a nice victory before heading for Dallas on Saturday, defeating the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday, 3-1. The team plays the Dallas Stars on Saturday, but this preview was written prior to the conclusion of that contest. Columbus is 5-17-2 on the road this season and Saturday night’s game in last place in the East, 25 points behind the New York Islanders for the final wild-card spot.
Joonas Koprisalo was spectacular in the victory, stopping 37 shots. He will likely go on Saturday, so look for Elvis Merzlikins on Sunday. Merzlikins is 6-15-0 with 4.28 goals-against average. This team is 30th in goals allowed per game (3.76) and the y are 20th in penalty killing (77.0%).

Patrik Laine had a goal and an assist in the win over Winnipeg. Boone Jenner had a goal and now has four points over his last five games. This is a terrible offensive club as the Blue Jackets are 30th in goals per game (2.53) and 31st on power play (16.1%).
