Colorado State vs. Air Force Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-19-2022

The Air Force Falcons play host to the Colorado State Rams in an in-state rivalry showdown. The Rams have struggled for much of the season heading into this one, though they’re hoping to flip a switch. The Falcons, finally seem to be playing consistent football and will like their own chances at home. The Falcons have dominated this series of late and there’s little reason to think that doesn’t continue into this one.

Colorado State has been one of the worst teams in football this season and with wins on the season only against Hawaii and Nevada, it's difficult to know what to expect out of this group as they hit the road in this one. The Rams are 1-4 on the road this season and against an Air Force team that loves to control the clock and wear away at opposing defense, could mean a difficult matchup in this one. The Rams are coming off of a one-point loss last week and have really only been blown out once in their last six weeks, meaning that they might have some confidence to at least keep this interesting through halftime. With five straight losses to Air Force overall, flipping the script early will be key.

One piece of good news is that Colorado State doesn't have any injuries to worry about as they head into the weekend. With all the other countless issues that have plagued this group this season, having a full comple ment of players might be the one piece to help them.

The Rams have struggled on both sides of the ball this season but moving the ball against this Falcons' defense will be their toughest task yet. The Rams rank outside the top 100 nationally in nearly every offensive category and unless they can find a way to control the ground game in this one, they're likely to be out of luck. Avery Morrow (5.1 yards per carry) has been strong at running back but his inability to find the endzone is likely to haunt this group as they head into this one.
