Trying to break a three-game losing streak, the Rockies will send German Marquez to the mound. In 22 starts, Marquez is 6-9 with a 5.08 ERA. On the road, he is 4-4 with a 4.07 ERA in nine starts. Marquez faced St. Louis last Thursday in Colorado, allowed eight hits, but just two earned runs in six innings but did not get the decision in an 8-6 Rockies win.

In Tuesday's loss, Colorado fell behind 3-0 in the fifth inning before scoring the next four runs with two in the sixth and two in the seventh. The team 3 for 7 with runners in scoring position and got three RBI from Charlie Blackmon, who also had two of the team's six hits. Blackmon is second on the team with 16 home runs and 66 RBI, behind CJ Cron with 23 home runs and 80 RBI.
