Colorado Rockies (5-8) vs. Seattle Mariners (5-8)

The 2023 Major League Baseball Season is closing down on the third week of the 2023 season Colorado Rockies take on the Seattle Mariners in this interleague battle on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at the T-Mobile Park in Seattle, Washington. The Mariners enter as the favorites at -200 with the total set at 7.5.

These teams have not met since 2021 when they split the four games with each team winning one game on the opponent’s field. All four contests were decided by three or fewer runs and the favored team won three of the four games. These teams play on Friday but this analysis was written prior to the conclusion of that contest.

The Colorado Rockies lost to the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday, 7-4. They dropped the final two games of that series, and now head to the road after going 3-4 on their recent seven-game homestand. The Rockies are 2-4 on the road this season and are in last place in the NL West.

Colorado made the most of their seven hits, scoring four runs thanks to a two-run homer off the bat of Jurickson Profar. The Rockies were able to pull within a run after the Profar homer in the seventh, but St. Louis added three runs over the final two frames to seal the victory. The Rockies offense was very good during the homestand, scoring 34 runs in the seven games, but they are hitting just .239 on the road with 22 runs scored in six games.

The bullpen gave up four runs in four innings of work. This is one of the worst groups in baseball, ranked 25th in bullpen ERA (5.48) and have a 1.57 WHIP. The team ERA on the road is 5.76. Ryan Feltner gets the start. He is 0-1 with a 7.45 ERA in two starts. The righty has a career mark of 4-11 with a 6.27 ERA.
