Colorado Rockies vs. Milwaukee Brewers Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 7-25-2022

The Colorado Rockies (43-53, 50-46 RL, 47-44-5 O/U) take on the Milwaukee Brewers (53-43, 41-55 RL, 48-42-6 O/U) as the NL foes conclude a four-game series on Monday evening. The Rockies will have Kyle Freeland on the hill. The Brewers will counter with Aaron Ashby targeting his third win of the season. The Brewers lead the series 3-0.

Kyle Freeland will make his 19th start of the season. Freeland was clobbered in his latest effort, conceding five runs in four innings against the Padres and able to finish with a no-decision in a game the Rockies won. The veteran left-hander has struggled in three consecutive outings and his ERA has plummeted to 4.96 along with a 1.41 WHIP and a 4-7 record in 101.2 innings pitched. Freeland has fared well in his three career meetings against Milwaukee, allowing eight runs (seven earned) in 18 innings.

Colorado has been competitive thanks to the offense. They have won two out of their last three series including three wins in four meetings against the Padres, followed by a series win against the Pirates. The Rockies will need to be better on the road if they want to climb to the .500 mark. They are 15-30 on the road.

Bren dan Rodgers continues to produce at the dish, accumulating ten base hits and six RBIs in his last six games. The 25-year-old second baseman is enjoying a breakout season, launching nine homers with 49 RBIs and a .733 OPS. Rodgers is 5 for 14 with two RBIs in this series.

The Rockies are averaging 4.60 runs per game, good for ninth overall. The pitching staff has a poor 4.90 team ERA, placing them 29th in the big leagues.
