A pair of teams having poor seasons will start a three-game series on Friday when the Colorado Rockies (56-76) travel to Ohio to face the Cincinnati Reds (51-78). The Rockies swept the Reds at Coors Field in a three-game series that was played earlier this season from April 29-May 1.
The Colorado Rockies were a huge underdog in their previous road series at Atlanta but managed to win the first game and cover the run line in the second before dropping Thursday's series finale 3-0. Colorado now sits slightly worst than the Tigers, averaging an MLB-bottom 3.02 runs per game on the road this season. They are just 18-44 on the road as an underdog this, but a solid 32-30 against the runline in those contests.
Fun facts about ATL:

Southpaw Kyle Freeland is going for the Rockies as they begin the series in Cincinnati. The Rockies have lost Freeland's last four starts, but he has been a solid pitcher on the road overall posting a 3-5 record and 3.62 ERA in 12 starts this season. In three career road starts against the Reds, Freeland is 2-1 but has an 8.27 ERA.
