The Colorado Rockies and San Diego Padres face off on Monday in an MLB showdown at Petco Park.
The Rockies sit with a 46-57 record overall and in the last series against the Los Angeles Dodgers they lost three of the four games. On Sunday the Dodgers scored seven runs and that led to the defeat. The Rockies pitching overall this season has been an issue giving up 5.33 runs per game which is 30th in the league. C.J. Cron is having a big season hitting 22 home runs and driving in 71 RBIs.
On the other side of this matchup is the Padres who sit with a 57-46 record overall and they won two of the three games over the weekend against the Minnesota Twins. This season the Padres pitching has been the difference giving up 4.05 runs per game which is 9th in the league. On offense, the Padres have been led by Manny Machado who has hit 18 home runs and driven in 57 RBIs.
