The Colorado Rockies and Atlanta Braves face off on Wednesday in an MLB showdown at Truist Park. In the first game of the series, it was the Rockies that were able to secure the 3-2 victory.
The Rockies come into this game with a 56-74 record overall but on Tuesday they used good pitching to find success. On offense, C.J. Cron was a different making finishing with two runs driven in. The Rockies offense has been fine overall this season, but the pitching has really let them down. They are giving up 5.44 runs per game which is 30th in the league. Cron has hit 24 home runs and driven in 86 RBIs.
On the other side of this matchup is the Braves who sit with a 79-51 record overall but they have lost three games in a row. Two of those three games were only lost by one run. The Braves offense overall this season is averaging 4.95 runs per game which is 3rd in the league. In this game, the Braves bats need to get going early and put the pressure on the Rockies.
