The Colorado Avalanche face the Winnipeg Jets with both teams looking to improve on great seasons. The Avalanche have an 18-9-2 record and with two wins in a row, they have the best record in the Central Division. The Jets have a 17-9-2 record which is the second-best in the Central Division. The Avalanche are having a great season with their offense leading the way, scoring 3.59 goals per game with 11 goals in the last two games. Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen have scored 26 goals and 52 assists to lead the top line but the rest of the offense has stepped up as well. Valeri Nichushkin, Ross Colton, and Ryan Johansen have combined for 29 goals and 21 assists while defensemen Cale Makar and Devon Toews have added 12 goals and 40 assists from the point to put the offense over the top.

The offense has been great but the defense has stepped up, allowing 3.00 goals per game. While Makar and Toews have combined for 3.7 defensive point shares and 85 blocked shots, the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net with ease.
