The offense has been great but the defense has struggled, allowing 3.07 goals per game. While Makar and Toews have combined for 5.1 defensive point shares, the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net with ease. In addition, goaltender Ivan Prosvetov has struggled with a .895 save percentage and a 3.16 goals-against average on 248 shots with -2.0 goals saved above average.
