The Colorado Avalanche face the Ottawa Senators with both teams on opposite ends of the standings this season. The Avalanche have a 28-12-3 record which is the second-best in the Central Division while the Senators have a 15-23 record and are in last place in the Atlantic Division. The Avalanche look to leap to the top of the Western Conference while the Senators hope to rebound in the Eastern Conference and the upcoming game should be a good one.

The Avalanche are having a great season with their offense leading the way, scoring 3.67 goals per game. Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen have scored 45 goals and 79 assists to lead the top line but the rest of the offense has been great as well. Jonathan Drouin, Ross Colton, and Ryan Johansen have combined for 30 goals and 30 assists while defensemen Cale Makar and Devon Toews have added 15 goals and 57 assists to put the offense over the top.
