Immortality is on the line Monday night in Houston, as the Washington Huskies and Michigan Wolverines square off in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. This is the first time since the 2016 game between Clemson and Alabama that we’ve had two new participants in the Natty. Ohio State and Oregon played the first one, Clemson and Alabama played the second one, and at least one team has been a repeat participant ever since.
It is nice to have some new blood in the game and these two teams have obviously earned it, both coming in at 14-0. Only one team will keep their perfect record intact and be showered in confetti bearing team colors when all is said and done.
