Another week of College Football in the books, and, thank the lord, things are finally starting to make a bit of sense. The entirely predictable yet still hilarious murder of Colorado by Oregon settled the hysteria around Deion and Co., and teams seem to be settling into either the “we have a chance at the playoff” category or the “we suck” category (still working on the names there, not sure it was my best work).
How do we handle those 10-12 teams with legitimate aspirations? Well, that's an entirely different issue. There's no great team amongst them and you could make a solid case for a large number of 4 team iterations in the final bracket. That said, not every idea is a smart one – The Athletic's ranking put Florida State at 1 and Washington at 2 which only taught me that the people at the Athletic spend their saturdays on the golf course rather than the couch – but trying to sort out a reasonable ranking right now is a puzzle.
Thankfully, we get a whole new set of games this week to teach us more and settle some of these issues so we don't have to argue about them. And as always, here are the 3 biggest things to know!
