As mentioned in Tuesday's best bets column (which went undefeated), this week is a bit of a lull in the college hoops schedule. There aren't many games between Monday and Friday due to it being finals week for most student-athletes.
We do have a marquee matchup on Friday between UConn and Gonzaga, but otherwise the next two days won't feature many college basketball games. As a result, we take a look at Wednesday's card and try to offer up some betting advice.

Wednesday's college basketball game picks
The ma rket has moved this total around a bit since opening at 148.5 across our best sports betting apps. This number touched as high as 154 and has since settled around 151 as of this writing. That's why you need to grab this discounted number at FanDuel before it's too late.
For those who aren't aware, Creighton is perhaps the pinnacle of modern basketball. The Bluejays lead the country in points scored from the 3-ball, with 43.4% of their scoring coming from long range. They are shooting 40.2% from deep, which ranks 13th in the nation. Not only has the offense leaned into the 3-ball, but the defense doesn't give up triples. Creighton has surrendered the fewest 3-pointers (23.8%) in the country.
Simply put, Creighton is winning the math game by a wide margin.
According to ShotQuality, UNLV is 361st in defense against 3-point shooting in terms of allowing high-quality looks from distance. The Rebels also have a pretty strong rim and three rate (84%) of their own, and will look to attack in transition. This game could easily turn into a bit of a track meet and be one of the more entertaining games on Wednesday's limited slate.
ShotQuality does project a total of 153 for this game, giving us a few points of wiggle room. If you'd prefer to attack the team total market, Creighton is projected to record a 80.4-72.6 victory in this one. But I'm playing the full-game total and expecting fireworks.
