We are looking to build off of a profitable 4-0 Saturday with our four-pack of college basketball picks, and we have you covered with our daily college basketball player props and best bets for Sunday based on the best college basketball odds.

The upsets continued on Saturday with three AP top 8 teams (No. 2 Houston, No. 6 Kentucky, and No. 8 Arizona) all losing, and five ranked teams lost in all. Four more AP top 25 teams are in action on Sunday, led by No. 4 UConn, who could stake claim as the No. 1 team in the country next week if it can avoid a home loss to Georgetown.

Here are our college basketball player props and best bets for Sunday (odds via our best March Madness betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Sunday's college basketball player props

Since UConn big man Donovan Clingan has been absent from the lineup for the last four games due to a foot injury, players like forward Alex Karaban figured to take on more of the scoring responsibility. However, Karaban scored 14 or fewer points in two of the four games without Clingan, and he has taken nine or fewer shots in three of them, meaning he needs to be efficient with those attempts to pad his scoring totals.

Karaban has shot a blistering 62.5% (10-for-16) from 3-point range over the previous three games, but defending the perimeter is one of the lone things Georgetown does well. The Hoyas allow opponents to shoot just 30.5% (ranks 52nd) from beyond the arc, and they consistently run teams off the 3-point line, ranking in the top 90 in fewest 3-point attempts per field goal attempt allowed. Karaban has been held to 14 or fewer points in eight of 10 games in which he has n ot made multiple threes, so we expect Georgetown's stingy perimeter defense to keep him under this projected total.

The Under is juiced to -125 at DraftKings, so the best value for Karaban's player points prop is found at bet365.

Since Fighting Illini guard Terrence Shannon Jr. was suspended indefinitely four games ago, new starting point guard Marcus Domask has looked like an All-Big Ten player. Domask has scored 26-plus points twice in that span. In his lowest-scoring game where his offense was not needed in a rout of Fairleigh Dickinson, Domask still complemented his 11 points with 11 assists and four rebounds.

Domask has chipped in five or more rebounds in seven of the last 13 games, and with the ball in his hands more in Shannon's absence, we expect even more production in the assist category, even though he has five or more assists in five straight games.

This is only a three-star play as Maryland has allowed 61.8 points per game in four road games this season. However, Illinois has the best offense of any team the Terrapins have played away from home this season, as it ranks seventh in adjusted offensive efficiency.

Domask also leads all Big Ten players in percentage of his team's minutes played (93.1%), so he should have plenty of opportunities to collect a wealth of points, rebounds, and assists.

Sunday's college basketball game picks

Michigan State has lost back-to-back road games to Northwestern and Illinois, and returns home to the Breslin Center where it beat Penn State for its only Big Ten win by 31 points. Meanwhile, Rutgers has lost each of its first two league road games to Ohio State and Iowa by a combined 13 points and has gone 4-6 straight up in Big Ten road games each of the last two seasons.

Rutgers is the only Big Ten te am that does not average 70-plus points per game and does not have the firepower to keep up with a Spartans team that ranks in the top 25 in both adjusted offensive and defensive efficiency. Michigan State is just one of three Big Ten teams that can claim that honor, and this is usually the time of year when we see Tom Izzo's teams start to gel.

The Spartans rank 10th in the country in assists per field goals made, so they should pose issues for Rutgers' second-ranked Big Ten scoring defense.

With competing sportsbooks like BetRivers offering a spread as high as Michigan State -11.5, we are even more excited at the opportunity to pay standard -110 juice at a full point lower at Caesars or bet365.

In a week that has been littered with upsets of AP top 25 teams, oddsmakers are tipping their hands that Wichita State could be the next team to take down a ranked opponent.

Memphis exc els in transition, in large part because it pushes the pace at the 23rd-fastest tempo in the country. In addition, the Tigers shoot just 34% as a team from beyond the arc (147th in the country), which is an issue against a Shockers defense that limits opponents to just 30.1% (ranks in the top 40) from the perimeter.

ShotQuality data suggests that Wichita State is owed some positive regression from 3-point range, as the Shockers are shooting just 29.5% beyond the arc. But despite losing six of its last seven games, Wichita State is still an excellent rebounding team, ranking in the top 87 in both offensive rebounding and defensive rebounding percentage. That will help slow down a prolific Memphis transition attack, with a half-court game benefitting Wichita State.

This is a contrarian play, as the Shockers are 0-4 ATS as underdogs this season, but Memphis is overvalued as favorites (2-8 ATS). FanDuel is the only other sportsbook off ering a line as high as +5.5 (all others are at +4.5 or +5), but they charge -120 in juice to back the underdogs.
