After a brief break in the college hoops calendar due to finals week, there will be more marquee matchups this week before the holidays. The fun starts on Tuesday, when Marquette travels to Providence and Michigan faces Florida in Charlotte to highlight a decent slate of games. Bronny James and the USC Trojans are also in action against Alabama State.
Things will really pick up in the new year, but we can learn a bit more about these teams before conference play gets in full swing.

Tuesday's college basketball player props
My 2024 resolution might just be mixing in more same-game parlay picks into my content. It's a great way to avoid getting limited by some of our best sports betting apps, as you are usually betting into a higher hold when playing SGPs. I also understand that readers enjoy placing an SGP to have action on certain marquee matchups.
Why not start on the New Year's resolution a bit early then?
This seems like the best way to have action on Tuesday's Big East opener between Marquette and Providence. The Golden Eagles have their sights set on defending their Big East crown, and point guard Tyler Kolek will have a lot to say about that.
This season, Kolek is averaging 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game. He has cleared his assist prop of 5.5 in four straight contests, including a 10-dime outing last time out. But we just need five assis ts and a Marquette win to cash this SGP at DraftKings.
Kolek will likely have to shoulder the offensive load a bit more than usual against Providence's switching defense. The Friars are excellent at defending the rim and 3-ball, as their defense ranks 15th in the country in Rim & 3 Rate, according to ShotQuality.
Fortunately, Kolek is one of the best creators in the sport right now and should still find a way to lead a Marquette offense (12th in adjusted efficiency) to victory.
