College basketball expert picks and predictions
We’re one game shy of having 100 teams in action on Wednesday night. But, 49 games is a pretty good mid-week slate, especially with some of the games we have on tap this evening. We don’t often think of weather with indoor sports like basketball, but there are some parts of the country dealing with some pretty extreme weather systems and bad driving conditions. With 363 teams, not everybody can afford to fly everywhere, so that can mean some bus trips. It can also mean trips from the closest airport to an obscure dot on the map with a game in the middle of nowhere.
Try to stay up on the news. Create some beat writer lists on X or keep an ear to the ground for some reports. That is another benefit of conference specialization like I talked about in a previous article. There are a lot of teams and sometimes narrowing your focus can be really beneficial, especially with injuries mounting across the country and a lot of difficulty finding concrete info on those players.
It can be exciting to turn the page from CFB to CBB, but make sure you are doing what needs to be done in order to be as informed as possible.
