Garbrandt vs Jones Prediction

Neither bantamweight fighters has found much success recently. On one hand, Cody Garbrandt is 1-5 in his last six fights, getting knocked out in four of those outings – including in his most recent loss to Kai Kara-France at UFC 269.

On the other hand, Trevin Jones heads into T-Mobile Arena on a three-fight losing streak. He went the distance with Raoni Barcelos back in October, but his efforts weren't good enough as Barcelos walked out with the unanimous victory.

I see Garbrandt getting back on track this weekend. He averages more significant strikes per minute (3.16) than Jones (2.33) and also boasts a superior striking defense (60% vs. 40%). On top of that, "No Love" is also the better grappler and has what it takes to keep himself off the mat if Jones heads in that direction.

It'll be a hard-hitting contest, but I'm going with the former bantamweight champion this time.

Garbrandt vs Jones Best Bet

Considering how 10 of his 12 career victories have come via knockout, I'm backing Garbrandt to win by KO/TKO at +125 odds as the best bet. Though Jones hasn't been knocked out in his career, his last three opponents have struck him 113 times more than he's hit them. That's just a recipe for disaster, especially against a heavy hitter like Garbrandt.
