Bowl season is underway after an exciting 2022 college football campaign. One successful program taking part in the postseason once again is the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, who will face East Carolina in the Birmingham Bowl on Tuesday, Dec. 27.

Coastal Carolina Bowl Game History
Coastal Carolina joined the FBS ranks in 2017, finally making the school bowl eligible. The Chanticleers have participated in the Division I postseason twice since then.
CCU's first bowl game appearance came in 2020. Coastal Carolina took on Liberty in the Cure Bowl, but fell in a heartbreaking 37-34 loss in overtime.
The Chanticleers got a shot at Cure B owl redemption last year. This time they won, defeating Northern Illinois, 47-41, to notch the program's first-ever bowl victory.
Coastal Carolina Bowl Game Wins and Appearances
Coastal Carolina owns a 1-1 all-time record in bowl games. The Chanticleers lost in 2020 and won in 2021 after becoming bowl eligible in 2017. Check out the school's full bowl results below:
